Ironmasters Christmas, Tredegar (All Day)
Experience the Ironmasters Christmas at Bedwellty House.
Transport yourself back to Victorian times and experience the Ironmaster’s Christmas at Bedwellty House, Tredegar.
On Wednesday 28 November and Friday 30 November visitors will be taken back in time to experience the sights, sounds and scents of a Victorian Christmas, as well as discovering the harsh realities of life in Victorian times.
There will be the opportunity for school visits to bring along groups to the Ironmasters Christmas during daytime performances from Wednesday 28 November to Friday 7 December, excluding weekends.
Visitors will be able to meet his Lordship, get culinary tips from the cook, listen to tales from the butler and chat to the poor folk from the workhouse who have been invited into the big house for the busy festive period. You will find out what they used to eat, drink, how hard they worked and what they used to get paid.
Tickets for the evenings are priced at £4 and performances begin at 7pm. Each child will receive a free gift from the master’s bran tub and seasonal refreshments will be provided for everyone.
